"Gaffney led the nation in solo sacks, recording 13.0 overall."
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College junior linebacker Frank Gaffney and senior defensive end Zach Halpin have been named all-Americans by USA College Football.

Gaffney was a first-team selection while Halpin earned a second-team nod. It's Gaffney's third All-America honor of the postseason, along with selections by D3football.com and Beyond Sports Network, and the first for Halpin. They join Brendan Kozub (a D3football.com second-team pick) as all-American selections from 2013.
Gaffney led the nation in solo sacks, recording 13.0 overall, and led the Middle Atlantic Conference champion Dutchmen with 82 tackles, including 60 solo stops, and 19.5 tackles for a loss. The MAC Defensive Player of the Year was a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, and was an all-ECAC pick. A disruptive force all over the field, he also broke up five passes and on special teams, he blocked three PATs.
Halpin was named second-team all-MAC after a standout year on the defensive line. He made 41 tackles, 9.5 for a loss, and 8.5 sacks as a senior, and led the team with seven hurries. He also batted down five passes and forced a fumble. During the course of the season, Halpin earned player of the week honors from the MAC, ECAC, BSN, and D3football.com.
