Come On Home - Albright College Homecoming Weekend Set for Sept. 26-28

Albright College will celebrate its 2014 Homecoming from Sept. 26 to 28. 
This year’s theme, “All Roads Lead to Albright,” offers alumni, friends, parents, students, faculty and staff an adventurous weekend full of special events, campus tours, athletic contests, fun and games, and class reunions.
"By plane, train or automobile, we’re looking forward to welcoming our extended Albrightian family for this year’s travel-themed Homecoming weekend," said Megan Bermudez '06, director of alumni relations.

Friday, Sept. 26
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Campus Tours – Scenic tours of campus departing on the hour from the Admission Office in Selwyn North.
  • 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Red and White Golf Outing –Head down the roadto LedgeRock Golf Club, Mohnton, Pa., for this annual event. Proceeds benefit Albright Athletics and student athletes.
  • 5 to 7 p.m. Roessner Hall Tour and Reception – Business, accounting & economics, political science and Accelerated Degree Programs alumni will gather for an evening of food, fellowship and memories with beloved faculty as Albright celebrates these majors' new home.
  • 8 to 10:30 p.m. Domino Players Present Devious Laughter, Wachovia Theatre– Albright's resident theatre group presents a selection of short plays from the Theatre of the Absurd, along with improvisational comedy. Additional performances: Sept. 27 at 8 p.m., and Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 27
  • 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Homecoming Parade, 13th Street – The reviewing stand will be located in the center of the Quad along 13th Street. In the event of rain, parade will be cancelled but floats will be on display under Scholl LifeSports Center.
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Picnic Lunch – Refuel at a lunch at the Bollman Gym.
  • 1 to 4 p.m. Albright Lions vs. Stevenson Mustangs football game,Gene Shirk Stadium – Halftime features crowning of king and queen, announcement of float winners, recognition of Hall of Fame inductees and Albright alumni "Toast Around the Globe."
  • 6 to 9 p.m. Athletic Hall of Fame –Annual Hall of Fame reception and induction. This year's inductees: Rachel Cantwell '08 (swimming), Kurtis Krebs '98 (baseball), Nick Cushman '06 (football), Tom Olivo '62 (football).
Sunday, Sept. 28
  • Noon. Annual Alumni Association Awards Brunch, Campus Center South Lounge – Some of the College’s brightest graduates will be honored, including John K. Roessner III ’61, who will receive the Jacob Albright Award.
           Reunions will be held throughout the weekend for the classes of 1964, 1974, 1989, 2004, 2009 and 2014.
