ANNVILLE (PA) – Delaware Valley College senior quarterback Aaron Wilmer (Philadelphia, PA/George Washington) was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Aggies to a 52-42, shootout victory over previously undefeated and nationally-ranked Lycoming College in a conference showdown on October 11.

The feat marks the second time Wilmer has received the award this year as he was the MAC Offensive Player of the Week in Delaware Valley’s week three victory at Lebanon Valley College where he threw for 383 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 63 yards and two scores.  It is also the fifth time in as many weeks that an Aggie has taken home MAC Offensive Player of the Week as wideout Rasheed Bailey was recognized in weeks one and four and tailback Chris Smallwood received the accolade in week three (Delaware Valley had the bye in week two).

In Saturday’s contest against the No. 20 Warriors, Wilmer completed 21 of 27 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns, all to different receivers. He also rushed for a score and a two-point conversion against a Lycoming squad that had given up 50 points in its previous five games combined.

Wilmer is having a year to remember through five games as he has completed 87 of 135 passes for 1,643 yards and 17 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He has also rushed for 149 yards and five trips to the end zone. Wilmer is second in all of Division III in passing efficiency (205.3 rating), seventh in total offense (358.4 avg), ninth in passing yards per game (328.6 avg) and ninth in total passing touchdowns (17).

Delaware Valley (5-0, 4-0 MAC) will look to remain undefeated as it travels to Stevenson University onSaturday, October 18 for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
