ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley seniors Tyler Dean, Tyler George, and Zach Wierman will be heading to the Dream Bowl senior all-star game in Virginia next month.

The three Dutchmen were recognized as among the nation's outstanding seniors, and received invitations to play in the game on Jan. 19, 2015 in Virginia Beach. Last year, Joey Miller '14 and Kevin Smith '14 participated in the game and were selected captains; LVC senior linebacker Frank Gaffney also received an invitation to this year's game but is playing in the National Bowl in Miami instead.

Dean, a senior left tackle, co-captained the Flying Dutchmen this season and contributed to LVC's 183.6 yards rushing per game and 4.1 yards per carry. In pass protection, LVC allowed only 1.7 sacks per game. Dean has proven to be one of the most resilient and consistent players over his four-year career, starting 39 games. Dean was a first-team all-MAC selection.

George, a senior wide receiver, had a standout year catching 59 passes for 932 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was fourth in the MAC in yardage and second in scoring among receivers, catching touchdowns in eight games including three multi-score games. George's TD total is second-most ever in a season by a Dutchman wide-out. George earned a spot on the Week 1 MAC Honor Roll after a three-touchdown game at F&M. George was a second-team all-MAC selection.

Wierman, a senior cornerback, had a terrific season, picking off a team-high four interceptions in 10 starts. Wierman compiled 28 tackles overall and had six pass defenses in total, with two interceptions at Stevenson and one each at Lycoming and against Albright. He was the MAC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 3. Wierman was a second-team all-MAC selection.
