Widener Football Slated 12th in 2015 D3football Preseason Top 25

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.  – After seeing a run to the "Elite Eight" in 2014, the Widener football team has been selected 12th in the 2015 D3football.com Preseason Top 25. Two-time defending national champion UW-Whitewater received 18 of 25 first-place votes and is the No. 1 team.
The blue and gold open its 2015 season on Sept. 5 as they play host to Rowan


The Pride are the lone Middle Atlantic Conference school listed on the ledger, but Lycoming was noted in the others receiving votes section with 11.  The two squads are set to faceoff on Oct. 31 at Leslie C. The D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
