VIDEO: Monos Discusses Career With Familiar Face

ANNVILLE, Pa. – On Nov. 17, Lebanon Valley football's Jim Monos announced his retirement as the program's head coach effective Jan. 31, 2016.

Recently, Coach Monos sat down with a familiar face, LVC junior tight end Elijah Johnson, for a one-on-one interview that was at once a trip down memory lane and a look into the future for the Flying Dutchmen's all-time winningest coach. Topics touched upon include the coach's favorite memories, why this was the right time to step away from the game he loves, and what his future plans include.

Monos completed his 23rd season at the helm of the Dutchmen on Saturday, Nov. 14. He is the only coach in program history to have guided Lebanon Valley to four postseason appearances, including wins in the 2009 and 2011 ECAC Southwest Bowls, and a 2013 NCAA Tournament berth following a MAC championship-winning campaign.
