Mr. MAC Predicts Game Winners for Week Three

Mr. MAC
Mr. MAC is back with his analysis of who will be the winners and losers in Week Three of the MAC. Are you ready for some predictions?

Lions Wins
Albright at Lycoming
Albright is one of two teams undefeated this season. They had a 38-35 overtime victory against Salisbury University in week one. Then Lion's quarterback Alec Vignola completed 20-of-21 passes for 306 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also led the Albright in rushing, gaining 54 yards on five carries. Vignola's 95.2 percent completion percentage is a new school record. He held the old record of 90 percent, set last season with his 18-for-20 performance against Misericordia.

The Warriors of Lycoming are coming off their worst season since 2007 at 3-7. And this season is off to a rocky 0-2 start, The Warriors haven't scored a touchdown yet this season. Against Delaware Valley, they could only muster three first downs and a field goal by kicker Jamie Fisher. Fisher is the leading and only scorer for Lycoming with 9 points. Although Lycoming has a better defense than last year, they will have their hands full against Albright. - MR. MAC SAYS Albright remains undefeated with a 30-7 win.

The Pride Wins
Misericordia travels to Widener
Misericordia will need plenty of breaks to defeat Widener. The Pride can put up points in a hurry and they will do that Saturday unless the Cougars pull off a historic upset. Widener has been strong for years and their head coach Mike Kelly directed his team to a 49-7 win over FDU-Florham last week. Unfortunately for the Cougars, we expect more of the same Saturday. - MR. MAC SAYS Widener rolls over Misericordia 38-7.

Mustangs Win
Stevenson at FDU-Florham
On paper, you put Stevenson on one side of a scale and FDU-Florham on the other and the Stevenson side will register as the better team for sure. The Mustangs have a reload program and that spells trouble for the Devils. Stevenson Head Coach Ed Hottle however wasn't real happy with the Mustang's opening game against Frostburg State. They were controlled in the 33-7 loss. Hottle must have made some offensive and defensive corrections since then as they defeated King's in week two 38-9.
FDU-Florham started the year out with a 30-24 victory over the College of New Jersey. But week two was a complete reversal as the Devils suffered a 49-7 loss to perennial powerhouse Widener. In that game FDU-Florham strung together an 8 play, 53 yard drive capped off with a rushing touchdown. But that was their only claim to fame in that game. - MR. MAC SAYS Stevenson over FDU-Florham 34-10.

Aggies Win
12th Ranked DelVal at Wilkes
Delaware Valley can get you gets your attention. And they did against the Warriors as dominated hem a 34-3. The Aggies defense held Lycoming to only three first downs the entire game. Lycoming could only muster 21 yards rushing. It was 14-3 at halftime, somewhat of a victory in some respects for Lycoming. But Lyco's better than average defense was worn out in the second half of play with plenty of field play.

Wilkes needs a big rebound to be competitive in this one. I'm not saying they can't defeat the Aggies, but they will have to play a perfect game and DelVal will have to be lost in looking forward to their next week opponent Stevenson. The Aggies are so good, I don't see Wilkes coming out of this one with a win. And I don't see head coach Duke Greco letting his team get trapped looking forward. - MR. MAC SAYS DelVal over Wilkes 35 - 7.
Actual Score: DelVal 34 - Wilkes 14

Dutchman Win
King's College at Lebanon Valley - Our Game of the Week
This game is a toss-up in my opinion. Very competitive with lots of scoring. Both teams are 1-1 this season. Lebanon Valley struggled both offensively and defensively against Franklin & Marshall in a 48-7 loss. They showed great rebounding skills both mentally and physically in the 36-0 win over Wilkes. A tip here is that Lebanon Valley is the home team which means some points advantage.

King's opened the season with a win against Moravian College with a 30-27 score. The Monarchs kicked the winning field goal with 1:37 to play. Week two saw King's take on Stevenson in Owings Mills, MD. Unfortunately for the Monarchs, King's turned the ball over three times, once deep in its own territory and twice while the Monarchs were in scoring position. The end result was King's dropped a 38-9 verdict to Stevenson Saturday at Mustang Stadium.  - MR. MAC SAYS Lebanon Valley over King's 24 - 21.
