Mr. MAC Predictions On A Full MAC Week Nine Schedule

A www.MACfb.com "Game of the Week" Photo
After coming off a perfect week, I will be giving you bold predictions trying to go back to back perfect in my game analysis. My YTD Record is 25 wins and five losses for an 80% success rate. I will have one upset prediction in this weeks predictions. I am looking to increase my total percentage. So lets have at it, here we go!

Wilkes at Albright
Wilkes is coming off the best offensive week of their 2017 campaign against FDU-Florham but still lost that game. The problem with the Colonels is that they allow an average of 41 points per game. Defense wins games much of the time and Wilkes defense is not up to MAC standards this year. Albright on the other hand, is coming off a tough loss at Stevenson's homecoming. In fact Stevenson is undefeated at home and they did handle Albright in the end. The Reading Lions are a very good team and should win this game handily, but saying that will bother the Albright coaches. That is how upsets happen. I don't see any upset in this game in Reading however.
Mr. MAC Says: Albright 49 - Wilkes 14

Lebanon Valley at Delaware Valley
The battle of the Valleys gets its game on Saturday. Front runner Delaware Valley is looking to stay undefeated thus hoping to lock up the MAC Championship. The Aggies average over five touchdowns per game while giving up just 10 points. The most impressive thing for me about Delaware Valley is their offensive and defensive depth. Their second team players are as good as their starters, a nice problem to try to manage. But Lebanon Valley is the team under the radar this year with a 4-2 record in the MAC. They upset Stevenson two weeks ago (31-24) and held their own against always strong Widener 20-28. Are they ready for an upset win over DelVal? We see a competitive game, but do not see that upset in our crystal ball.
Mr. MAC Says: DelVal 28 - Lebanon Valley 14

FDU-Florham at King's
The Devils travel to Wilkes Barre to try to win two in a row. FDU is playing an interesting team in King's. The Monarchs can score points quickly and go big, but this season they average 33 points per game, while giving up 38 points per game. King's scored a high 63 points against Misericordia. They were also held to 9 points against Stevenson and 14 points against Delaware Valley. But FDU-Florham is not a defensive juggernaut. They are allowing 41 points on average this year with DelVal racking up 60 points on September 29th against them. I don't see Kings losing this game, but it will be a high scoring tighter than expected contest.
Mr. MAC Says: King's 42 - FDU-Florham 32

Misericordia at Lycoming
It is Senior Day as the Warriors close out their home schedule for 2017. The middle of the Warriors schedule has been kinder to them mainly due to settling on Sr. QB Chase Williams. But he was injured in the first half against Widener two weeks ago. Rumor has it that he was not practicing mid-week so will Sr. QB Collin Wright be in the drivers seat? Collin has been susceptible to interceptions but is a decent QB. The Cougars from Dallas, PA will need to get their defense up for this game or they will not come close to an upset.
Mr. MAC Says: Lycoming 34 - Misericordia 14

Widener at Stevenson
This game is the most competitive game this week. I was in Owings Mills, MD last week and was impressed with the Stevenson defense. They came up big a couple of times or they might have lost that game. I have seen Widener play against Lycoming this year and are an improving team. Coach Kelly has said that the team is not where they should be, but getting better. With a bye week the Pride has had a chance to physically heal after defeating Lycoming College. One advantage with the bye week is that they have been able to concentrate longer on this big game. Look for some wild new plays and a different look trying to confuse Stevenson. After seeing both teams, I give the defensive advantage for this game to Stevenson. The two offensive team are very close in talent, but I have to give a slight edge to Stevenson due to more maturity and excellent wide receivers, not that Widener doesn't have good WR's. So on paper it looks to me like it is the Mustangs game to win. But who wants this game more? They are the one who will win this game.
Mr. MAC Says: Widener 28 - Stevenson 27
