WACO, Tex. - After leading Lebanon Valley to a Middle Atlantic Conference title and NCAA appearance, Jim Monos has been named the AFCA Regional Coach of the Year.

Monos, also the MAC Coach of the Year, guided LVC to an 8-3 record, its first MAC championship since 1969, and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth. The Dutchmen compiled a program-record 14 all-MAC selections, including Defensive Player of the Year Frank Gaffney.

During the season, LVC won a school-record seven straight games, including their first upset of a top-25 team against #24 Lycoming on Oct. 12, and a dramatic overtime victory at Delaware Valley that secured Monos his 100th career win. LVC also earned its first-ever national ranking in the process, rising as high as #22 in the poll.
