King's Football: Three Heading to the Monarchs

Newark Post - Heading off alone to college as a student-athlete can be an intimidating experience academically, socially and athletically.

Three St. Mark’s teammates have decided to make it an easier transition by doing it together.

Quarterback Zach Whitehead, running back T.J. Brown and defensive lineman James “Bronko” Wilson have announced they will attend King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and play football for the Monarchs, which are part of Division III’s Middle Atlantic Conference.

“The value of adding the three young men from St. Marks will provide a tremendous boost in talent on our team moving forward,” King’s assistant coach Tyrone Young sai. “Getting to know them personally [during the recruiting process], I believe that their parents and St. Mark’s has given these guys some great structure and I feel that it will be beneficial to their success here at King’s College. They are the kind of kids we want to represent the program and school.”
