DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College senior wide receiver Rasheed Bailey’s record-breaking performance against Albright College earned him two honors at midweek as he was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Southeast co-Offensive Player of the Week and also earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Bailey, who was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, picked up the same weekly accolades after the opening game of the season when he tied a school-record with 11 receptions for 216 yards and one touchdown in a 30-20 win at Montclair State University.

This past Saturday against Albright, Bailey caught nine passes and broke the school’s single-game receiving yardage mark with 252 (surpassing the old record of 252 set by the late Don Marshall in the 2005 MAC-title clinching win at Juniata College). Four of Bailey’s nine receptions went for touchdowns, marking the second week in a row that he tied that single-game record as well.

Bailey leads all of Division III with an average of 177 receiving yards per game while his total of nine touchdowns ranks second. He has caught 28 passes for 708 total yards.

Undefeated and 24th-ranked Delaware Valley (4-0, 3-0 MAC) will host undefeated and 20th-ranked Lycoming College (5-0, 4-0 MAC) for Homecoming on Saturday, October 11 (noon kickoff).
