DelVal Football - Aggjes Ranked as High as 22nd in National Polls

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley College football team moved up two places in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches’ Poll while it cracked theD3football.com Top 25 for the first time this season.

The Aggies improved to 22nd in the AFCA rankings as they received 192 votes. They are the second-highest Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) school in the rankings behind the other remaining undefeated team in the league in Widener University (13th).

In the D3football.com poll, Delaware Valley earned 83 points to move into the No. 24 spot in the country (Widener is 17th).  The two squads will square off at Widener in the regular-season finale on November 15.

The Aggies improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the MAC with a 52-42 home triumph over previously undefeated and nationally-ranked Lycoming College on October 11. The Warriors, who were 20th in theD3football.com poll and 23rd in the AFCA poll, are now just receiving votes in the coaches’ poll.

Delaware Valley will puts its undefeated record and national ranking on the line this Saturday, October 18 when it travels to Maryland to battle MAC foe Stevenson University.
