ANNVILLE (PA) – Delaware Valley College junior safety Danny Wynne (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week while senior tailback Chris Smallwood (Philadelphia, PA/Upper Moreland) earned a spot on the Honor Roll following their performances in the Aggies’ 35-13 win at Stevenson University on October 18.

Delaware Valley has now had a Player of the Week for all six of its games with Wynne being the first on the defensive side of the ball. Smallwood, wideout Rasheed Bailey and quarterback Aaron Wilmer combined for five offensive awards in the first five contests.

Wynne had a game-high 14 tackles to go along with a forced fumble at Stevenson. He helped the unit keep the Mustangs off the scoreboard for the first three quarters and limit them to just 248 total yards for the game. Wynne leads the team and the conference with 63 tackles on the year.

Smallwood carried the ball 34 times for 147 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 40 yards on three catches. The three trips to the end zone upped his season total to 13, which ranks fourth in all of Division III. Smallwood is also 11th in the country with 838 rushing yards.

Delaware Valley (6-0, 5-0 MAC) will look to remain undefeated when it hosts Misericordia University (1-5, 1-4 MAC) on Saturday, October 25.
