Chester, PA - Just another day at the office and another league title helped senior All-America receiver/returner Anthony Davis (Upland, PA) from No. 10 Widener get named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season.
Davis had six catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns in Widener's MAC-clinching 44-28 victory Saturday over No. 15 Delaware Valley.  The win gave the Pride (10-0, 9-0 MAC) their 20th MAC title, allowed them to advance to the NCAA Tournament for the 14th time, complete their 12th undefeated regular season and move to 10-0 for the sixth time in school history.
Davis this season is 29th in the country with 963 receiving yards, 84th with 126.3 all-purpose yards per game, tied for second in the MAC with 10 receiving touchdowns and sixth with 5.4 receptions per game.  This is all with defenses giving him extra attention and teams kicking away from him.
One of the most prolific competitors in school history, Davis is first in team annals with 241 career receptions, 6,298 all-purpose yards, 3,674 receiving yards and 1,685 kickoff return yards.  He also is second with 41 touchdown catches and third with 45 touchdowns.
Davis has been voted All-America the last two years, first team All-MAC all three seasons, is the reigning MAC and ECAC South Offensive Player of the Year and this year was cited a Preseason All-America by four publications.
Widener is off to the NCAA Tournament and will host No. 22 Muhlenberg on Saturday at noon at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.  Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for seniors and students.  No complimentary tickets will be available.
