ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College's Tyler Dean, Frank Gaffney, and Brendon Irving have been named All-Americans by USA College Football.

Gaffney was picked to the first team for the second straight season, while Dean and Irving earned Honorable Mention selections.

Dean, a senior left tackle, co-captained the Flying Dutchmen this season and contributed to LVC's 183.6 yards rushing per game and 4.1 yards per carry. In pass protection, Dean was not individually responsible for a sack in 2014. Dean has proven to be one of the most resilient and consistent players over his four-year career, starting 39 games, and he capped his career with a first-team all-MAC selection. Dean has been selected to play in the Dream Bowl Senior All-Star Game in January.

Gaffney, a senior linebacker, is a Cliff Harris Award nominee who played at both outside linebacker spots this season to earn First-Team All-MAC honors for the second straight year. He was All-East and played in the National Bowl Senior All-Star Game in Miami. Gaffney led LVC and was fifth in the MAC with 86 tackles, including 9.5 for a loss, and 3.5 sacks. He compiled four 10+ tackle games and earned MAC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 11. Gaffney was named a preseason all-American by five organizations, and was also placed on the CGS All-Star watchlist.

Irving, a sophomore, had a breakout sophomore season at running back, ranking second in the MAC with 1,255 yards on the ground. The All-East pick scored nine touchdowns while ending the season with five straight 100+ yard performances, including a career-high 184 yards at Lycoming. His yardage total was second-most ever by a Dutchman, eclipsing the 1,200-yard mark for only the third time in program history. Irving averaged 5.5 yards per carry in 2014.
