Mr. MAC Pick - Stevenson 21 Vs Delaware Valley 24
Actual Score - Stevenson 15 Vs Delaware Valley 18
Did I call the spread on this game or what (Humility Mr. MAC)? I had a real good hunch on this matchup. I felt that these teams would be a draw on a neutral site. But DelVal had home field advantage and it was homecoming. That means a great noisy crowd to support their team. I felt that DelVal had one of the best defenses in the MAC and they showed up Saturday. Offensively, DelVal is young and has had trouble scoring from the red zone (Note the Wilkes game). This game continued that trend.

Stevenson's defense gave the Aggies all they could handle. In the end, it was DelVal's defensive back #22 Shawn Miller who was a game changer. He accounted for two scores. Or should I say one that happened and one that didn't that was a 14 point swing in the game. Then one that did was his 100 yard interception. In his words, he watched the quarterback's eyes and saw where the ball was going. Watching game film also was helpful he stated. The one that "Didn't" was the defensive play of the year so far. Stevenson QB Jeff Farrah's pass completion to Seth Jordan for 56 yards to the Aggies one yard line was knock loose by Miller. The ball rolled out of the end zone for a touchback. That created a big swing in momentum.

Finally, a terrific go ahead touchdown run with 42 seconds left on the clock by Jr. WR Tyler Bing was the difference. He took it infrom five yards out to seal the deal for the Aggies. And he told Head Coach Duke Greco he could score with that play. Duke's reply was "Let's run it!"

Stevenson is still in the MAC Championship hunt, but two fumbles cost them dearly.

Albright roars louder this time (A MACfb.com File Photo).
Mr. MAC Pick - Wilkes 14 Vs Albright 31
Actual Score - Wilkes 9 - Albright 62
I was not too worried about this pick. Albright is proving to be the team to beat this year in the MAC. They destroyed Wilkes who is struggling right now. It is hard to believe that a team can beat someone like DelVal and then slump like the Colonels have been doing lately. Albright however is like cream moving to the top of the jar. They have moved into the Division III top 25 this week and are playing up to their potential. The Lions claws are sharp and they are ready for the hunt for the Championship and a Playoff spot. But Albright still has to play DelVal on October 24th. That game will be another classic. I am analyzing my statistics already getting ready for that pick. It will be a hard one to win for me.

Lebanon Valley has a very good offensive (A MACfb.com File Photo).
Mr. MAC Pick - FDU-Florham 21 Vs Lebanon Valley 35
Actual Score - FDU-Florham 14 Vs Lebanon Valley 56
Each week, some teams are going up and others are sliding. Momentum is for real. Let's face it, all of the teams are very talented. Anyone can defeat another on a given day. Attitude is for real. Well, for Lebanon Valley, their attitude is believing in themselves. I think the Dutchman are well coached and have found a very good quarterback. They have maybe the best league running back in Brendon Irving who was MAC's Offensive Player of the Week.  Their weakness has been defense. If they can figure that out, they will surprise us even more in the second half of this season.
