Stevenson Football - Preston Addo Earns Honorable Mention All-America Status

SALEM, Va. – Senior Preston Addo of the Stevenson University football team was named an Honorable Mention All-American by during the pregame show for the 2017 Stagg Bowl Friday afternoon as a return specialist. Addo becomes the second Mustang to earn All-America honors, joining Austin Tennessee, a First Team selection by the website in 2016.

Addo, a First Team All-Region selection as return specialist as well as a Second Team All-Region choice at wide receiver, averaged 20.9 yards per return on 17 kick returns this season, while also returning 22 punts for 234 yards, including an 83-yard touchdown return at FDU-Florham on September 16. He has the only two punt return touchdowns in the seven-year history of Stevenson football.

On the season, Addo finished with 1,878 all-purpose yards (170.7 ypg) as he finished the season with 1,234 receiving yards in addition to his 590 return yards. For his career, Addo totaled nearly 1,300 return yards and had 3,731 all-purpose yards, including over 3,100 over his final two seasons.

Stevenson made its fourth straight postseason appearance in 2017, qualifying for the ECAC James Lynah Bowl played at the University of Delaware on November 19.
